Hiiraan Xog, At least 10 people have been killed and 45 others injured in three consecutive blasts that occurred near popular hotels and CID headquarters in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
Twin car bombs exploded near Hotel Hayat within moments it was followed by gunfire and a third blast later just a few metres away from Sahafi Hotel, sending thick plumes of black smoke into the sky.
Abdikadir Abdirahman, director of Amin ambulances confirmed to media that the blasts killed 10 people and 45 others were injured.

According to officials who spoke to AP, Somali security forces shot dead four gunmen who tried to storm through a hole in the hotel’s wall.
Police officer Mohammed Hussein told Reuters that the target of the attacks could have been Hotel Sahafi, which is just opposite the CID office.
According to the group’s Andalus radio station, Al-Shabab claimed the responsibility of the bombs.
